JUDY SINGLETON, who joined MVBA in April, 2000, is the managing attorney in our Longview Office and represents various clients including the Longview Independent School District, Gladewater Independent School District, Pine Tree Independent School District, White Oak Independent School District, and the Harrison Central Appraisal District.   She provides legal representation to our clients in the East Texas area and addresses complicated collection issues for taxing entities, as well as for taxpayers and their attorneys.

Judy received a B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University in 1986, and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 1990.  Judy has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1991. Prior to joining MVBA, Judy had six years experience as an Assistant Criminal County Attorney for Gregg County. She has been a speaker at the East Texas Police Academy and an instructor for continuing education classes at LeTourneau University. Additionally, Judy pursued a private practice emphasizing Criminal, Family and Probate Law and Guardianships, representing clients in all phases of litigation, including jury trials.  She is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Texas as well as the Federal District Court of East Texas.  She is also an active member of the Gregg County Bar Association and is currently serving as the President of that organization.
