JAVIER GUTIERREZ is an associate with
MVBA, where his practice is concentrated on ad valorem tax matters. Javier joined the law firm in 1994 while attending law school and became an associate in August 1995. Javier represents taxing entities and appraisal districts in both delinquent tax collections and appraisal value litigation matters across the state. He practices before the trial and appellate courts in Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Ad Valorem Tax Section. He is also a member of several local chapters of the Texas Association of Assessing Officers. Javier has addressed the Ad Valorem Section of the State Bar and the Texas Association of Assessing Officers.
Javier is originally from Hebbronville, Texas where he graduated from high school. He attended Texas A&I University in Kingsville and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1992 with a BBA in Real Estate Finance. Javier received his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law in 1995.
